Quest and JJ on Target to Open New Mine.

BELFRY, Ky., Nov 01, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- (OCTBB: QMMG) Quest Minerals and Mining Corp is pleased to announce that the joint venture partner JJ Resources has been issued permit #852-7254 from the Kentucky Department of Surface Mining and Reclamation "DSMRE" for the Apollo #1 property with over 3,500,000 tons of Fireclay Rider coal. Channel samples of the Fire Clay Rider coal have run over 13,000 BTU's, under 12% ash and Sulfur in the 1.1%-1.4%. Based on current orders in the area, this ! coal has an " in the pit value" with BTU premiums of \$60 per ton.

Upon final review by TEE Engineering initial roadwork and face up of the seam will commence as early as late this week.

Bill Spears, President of JJ Resources, had the following to say, " JJ Resources will begin building more than 2 miles of access roads in the following weeks and begin the job of facing up the fireclay rider seam at the number 1 portal on Apollo Number 1 Mine. JJ is on target for mining and delivering coal by mid-December, 2005. The first portal is conservatively projected to be mining 40,000 to 50,000 raw tons per month 90 days after production starts. Portal number 2 will be faced up and ready to enter production by second quarter, 2006. Additional surface permits will add additional tonnage by 3rd or 4th quarter of 2006. Our conservative projections are to have in excess of 100,000 raw tons per month in production before December 2006."
