Here is the report of Roman's trip to the mining site. Enjoy!!
The mine is for real and the company’s future is solid. Roman did not give any advance notice he was arriving to the mining site so no one knew he was coming. As luck would have it, the entire management group involved with the operation of Quest and the mine were there at the mine. He met the landowner, the main investor, the Quest’s CEO and the General Mining contractor owner/CEO and contractor manager. They individually gave him the grand tour showing him around the property, into the mineshaft and explained the mining equipment. The landowner also drove him off road over mountain ridges scratching his vehicle showing outcropping seams of metallurgical coal. He claimed the coal he showed him is so rich the value was said to be over \$90/ton. The amount of that reserve has not yet been mentioned to investors because they haven't core drilled it yet to know how much is actually there but it is all on the land leased by Quest. The landowner said he is happy with the company’s progress, his payments are all up to date and he sees no problems getting the mine open. Equipment is onsite very close to operating and moving into the mine. The area was buzzing with workers. The leased land mass was said to be so large it actually crosses state lines into Kentucky. The profit per ton of the coal in the mine was said to be \$12-15/ton net profit to Quest after royalties, fees, black lung insurance, lease expenses, debt and equipment repairs. He asked the same net profit question several times to all managers and they all said the same answer. Coal is currently \$42-43/ton but the coal at Pond creek is said to be valued much higher. The coal seam they will be working is 49 inches and runs for miles throughout the entire region. Methane is vented from the mine though there is very little methane to exhaust. Everything sounds good and all the parties involved seemed to be genuine, honest and sincere. They are all very excited and anxious to get action underway. Roman was asked to join the group for dinner but he decided to get back on the road and head back home. He drove over 1380 miles in 35 hours with only 4 hours sleep. I think he did an excellent job and deserves a hand.
Best to all investors in Quest,
Runninamuk
